Certifying Art

For an honest, objective and independent certification of Works of Art

Forgeries have existed as long as valuable objects were traded. From the 19th century onwards, the faking of artworks has become a serious problem. Nowadays, falsifications of all kinds of styles and cultures can be found in the best and most famous collections, private as well as public, pretending to be genuine. The art market, too, is flooded with such well-made forgeries, that it is impossible to detect them with the naked eye. The opposite might be the case as well (although less often): an object might wrongfully be labeled as fake.
